Let's try again!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I will try and be a better blogger this year! I am truely pathetic when it comes to keeping things updated.

Well I have completed a few things...a knit hat and scarf for Jessica. And a hat for me to match my new coat. The stuff for Jessica was done with Red Heart Baby clouds in pale yellow. My yarn was a bit racier. LOL I used a black boucle from Lion and a white sport weight Baby Coordiantes from Bernat together. I knit all on a loom. I have also started fingerless gloves with the boucle and baby and will also make a scarf. Both will be loom knit. I also did a baby newborn hat but it was a gift so I didn't get a picture. I am currently working on a matching blanket, using yellow and white (together) Baby Cordinates from Bernat. I should have this done this weekend. Off to finish clutter clearing and the pattern tracing and cutting out some knit tops for me. Ta ta!

I saw your link to your blog on the NMSL, and I added you to my feed reader. I'd love to see pictures of your knitting. How do you do gloves on a loom?

Hi,
Well I kinda was winging it on the Knifty Knitter Flower loom. No pattern,I just thought it up as I went. I did about 10 rows the turned the bottom up like doing a brim on a hat, then kept going till I got to a length where I wanted the opening for your thumb to go. I flat knit about 5 rows the returned to knitting round til I got to the rest of the lengthe I wanted. Havn't cast of yet. Not sure how I want to do it yet. I know of a couple other ladies that have actually done full and half finger gloves on looms. Did you know you can do mittens too? Don't know how yet, though. I am getting pictures of some stuff up this weekend.
