Worship!Prayer! LIFE!

I stand for the King of Kings, Immanuel-God with us, the Way, the Truth and the Life, the Word became flesh, My Savior. The one who was born of a virgin (yes, a virgin.....the Creator of the Heavens and the earth and sea is perfectly capable of this miracle as well, which was prophesied in the Old Testament) who lived humbly, to bridge the gap for ME (low, lost, grimy, ME) so I can spend ETERNITY with Him! AWESOME!

He is All Knowing, All Powerful and All Loving. HOWEVER, He is still GOD ALMIGHTY. To be reverenced and feared. While we do have a friend in Jesus, He is still King of Kings and Lord of Lords and should be respected as such. The Bible is one of the ways God speaks to us. This is how he TEACHES us. If we don't read His word, we miss out on so much He is saying to us. Yes, we are to pray without ceasing....continuous throughout our day....does that mean we are to have no formal prayer time with our Heavenly Father? Is He not worthy of us dropping to our knees in reverence and praising? We make time for all sorts of things, but do we really carve out a portion of our day to seek and speak with Him? I am not talking about the casual conversations many may have (myself included, as I do love fellow-shipping with Jesus during my routine of the day) but a specific TIME of worship...YES, WORSHIP. Our Holy God is to be WORSHIPED. Do we allow His Holy Spirit to lead us in MEANINGFUL prayer (as we all can struggle)? Do we actually FAST? (as an offering of love to our Heavenly Father, not because we HAVE to but because we WANT to, not because it will make us worthy, not making a spectacle of ourselves when we do it, as no one should know except our Heavenly Father)

Mathew 6:6-34 has answers for life....Jesus gave us this teaching. When was the last time you read His teaching? I encourage you to seek His face......follow His ways. (Ann Voscamp has such a beautiful, graceful way with words.... A Holy Experience .)
